Gorham Sterling Silver Tankard-form Trophy, Providence, Rhode Island, 1885, with a thumbpiece modeled as a putto head surrounded by strapwork, lid and body decorated allover with foliate vines and fruit, center with inscription "The Wedgemere Cup. Won by John H Carter 1887-88-90. WTC," ht. 9 in., approx. 25.8 troy oz. In good overall condition. With a couple small indentations to the underside of the foot, not visable on the exterior.
