Gorham Sterling Silver Corinthian Yacht Club Trophy, Providence, Rhode Island, c. 1923, two-handled with a tapering baluster body, registers of laurel leaves and flowerheads, an engraving centering the club insignia: "Corinthian Yacht Club/1923/Class S-Herreshoff One Design/Seasons Average/won by/Reaper II", and an additional engraving to the circular foot "Presented/by/Sydney A. Beggs", ht. 13 1/4 in., approx. 26.7 troy oz. N.B. Reaper II was designed by Nathanael Herreshoff and originally owned by Harry P. Benson.
