French Gilt-silver Ecclesiastical Chalice, France, 19th century, bowl with maker's mark "L G," and Minerva . 800 mark, of typical form with register of floral medallions to cup, and floral and acanthus leaf registers to shallow, domed foot with incised cross to base, ht. 8 3/4, dia. 4 1/2; also with related paten with incised cross to raised side, dia. 4 3/4 in. Note: A letter dated December 17, 1967 accompanies this lot explaining that this chalice belonged to the Bishop of Regina, 1st Archbishop of Saskatchewan.
