Riefler Precision Astronomical Regulator, No. 1174, c. 1907-1910, the silvered dial with outer ring minutes, subsidiary dial for seconds at 12 and hours at 6, eight-day timepiece mounted on a brass plate with pendulum suspension, five wheel train, deadbeat escapement, maintaining power, beat setting provision on the crutch, and outboard pulley to direct weight fall, K-style invar pendulum marked Riefler Munchen-DRP 100870-1174 , nickel pulley and single weight, all in a painted wooden case with full-length glazed door, ht. 52 in. Note: The Riefler firm and their clocks are illustrated and discussed in Derek Roberts, Precision Pendulum Clocks , pp. 119-149. No significant condition issues, dial with minor abrasion in hour ring, case with minor paint loss on the top, movement retains original lacquer surface, original hands and key.
