Framed Schoolgirl Sampler, England, c. 1836, with alphabet in several scripts to upper portion, signed "Elizabeth Underwood.s Sampler 1836" to middle, with assorted decorative elements to the bottom portion including a crown, flowers in bowls, and a chalice, all within a vine and flower border, sight size 25 x 18 in. Age-related discoloration to fabric backing, not examined outside of the frame.
