Framed English Schoolgirl Needlework Sampler, 19th century, the top section with poetic verses surrounded by various plants and animals, the lower section with an illustrated Biblical verse of Adam and Eve surrounded by other figures and various motifs, signed to bottom "Harriot Hammond finished this work in the tenth year of her age June the 5th 1811," in an ebonized wood frame, sight size 16 1/2 x 12 1/2 in.
