Needlework Pictorial House Sampler, "Isabella Maxwell July 30 1833," worked in wool yarns and silk threads on a linen ground with a Federal brick house at center surrounded by a weeping willow tree, birds, baskets of flowers, a flowering vine border, and verse "Here in this work my name shall be/When I am in eternity/Tho worms of dust my body eat/Here you shall see my name complete," (minor toning, stitch losses, and overstitched repairs on the upper edges), 16 1/2 x 20 1/2 in. , in a period molded giltwood frame.
