Liu Guibin (b. 1938), Early Morning at Taihang Mountain , China, 20th century, depicting a farmer smoking, seated beside a pickaxe, oil on canvas in thick impasto, framed, painting 70 1/4 x 44 in. Note: A sticker on reverse with title and artist as well as information that could be translated as "Exhibition of Modern Chinese Oil Paintings, #59, Chinese Artists' Association and the GHK Company, USA." The exhibition was held at Hefner Galleries, New York, in 1987.
