Confederate Foot Artillery Sword, c. 1861-65, cast-brass grip and hilt, with a star on each side of the pommel, and CS cast into either side of the guard, on the iron blade is a paper label with an accession number 59 , and a paper label with a handwritten note which reads "Confederate sword from the battlefield of Petersburg", blade lg. 18 3/4, overall lg. 24 1/4 in.
