George III Aylmore Stopes Brass-inlaid Mahogany Longcase Clock, London, c. 1760, dome-top hood with brass, stopped fluted freestanding columns, flanking the composite brass dial with name boss in arch reading as above, Roman numeral chapter ring, matted center with seconds dial and calendar aperture, tombstone door with paterae in center, base with shell-inlaid corners, all on bracket feet, eight-day time and hour strike movement, pendulum and two cast iron weights, ht. 87 in.
