An oversized counter check dated July 25, 1952, completed fully in Monroe’s own hand, written to Mrs. Gladys P. Eley in the amount of $150.00. The check has been endorsed by Monroe’s mother and is signed “Mrs. Gladys P. Eley.” Monroe has given her address at the time this check was written as “Hotel Bel Air, L.A. Calif.” This is an exceptionally rare document containing both Monroe’s signature as well as her mother's.
