Carved and Polychrome Painted Bottle Whimsey Depicting Christ's Crucifixion, probably Continental, late 18th century, the blown colorless glass bottle with open pontil topped with a stopper featuring a carved bust of a man wearing a tricorn hat, the interior of the bottle depicting a scene with carved figures of Christ on the cross flanked by the two thieves, and an assortment of Roman soldiers mounted on elaborately carved and pierced ornaments, (loose elements, paint loss), ht. 12 3/8 in.
