Carved and Polychrome Painted Folding Parcheesi Board, New England, late 19th century, in six colors and defined with incised carving, the four corners each center an applied tin boss, the central carved compass star lettered "HOME," the reverse painted dark green and fancifully lettered "PARCHEESI" within a banner incorporating stars, the paint on the front continuing to the raised beaded edge, 19 x 19 in. , framed. Provenance: Ricco/Maresca Gallery, New York, to a private Massachusetts collection.
