Sabine Mea (French, d. 1904) Still Life with Green Grapes and a Butterfly . Inscribed "Sabine Mea" on a presentation plaque. Oil on academy board, 9 3/8 x 12 5/8 in., framed. Condition: Fine, stable craquelure, bowing to the support. N.B. Little is known about the painter Sabine Mea. Benezit lists the artist as a genre and still life painter, born in Lure, died in Paris in September 1904, whose work debuted at the Salon of 1861.
