Watercolor, Pen and Ink Schoolboy Map of the United Kingdom, Saxton B. Little, Columbia, Connecticut, c. 1828, hand-drawn map with watercolor borders depicting England, Scotland and Ireland, selected towns, islands, and bodies of water identified, inscribed in the upper right with the maker's name, location, and date "March 5, 1828," 18 x 17 1/4 in. (sight), in a molded frame with gilt liner. Note: Saxton Little was born in Columbia, Connecticut, in 1813. He was a teacher and upstanding citizen of the area, and gave the funds for a free library in Columbia, which still stands.
