Schoolboy Copybook Page with Pen and Ink Picture of the Schooner Sea Horse, early 1820s, two-sided page, one side depicting mathematical problems and the image of the schooner, the other side explaining the "Rule of Three Direct," signed "DRH/1821" at the bottom, in a mahogany veneer frame, ht. 22, wd. 16 1/2 in. Note: The schooner Sea Horse was built in Saybrook, Connecticut, in 1792 and registered in 1799 for "coastal trade."
