Attributed to Jan Christianus Schotel (Dutch,1787-1838). Oil on wood panel marine painting depicting a large clipper ship with a smaller boat filled with men rowing at sea. Additional boats in background as well a boat with figures on opposite side of large ship climbing aboard. Apparently unsigned, brass artist's name plate on frame. Framed 26.75" x 33" Unframed 18" x 23.75". Provenance: From a Private Collection, Atlanta, Georgia.
