A group of 11 foreign language books and three dictionaries and phrasebooks in Italian, German, French and English. The books are in Greta Garbo's native Swedish, French and one in Spanish. Guy de Rothschild's autobiography was a gift to Garbo from de Rothschilde and his wife Marie-Helene, who were friends of Garbo. The artwork illustrated in the book in this photograph is by Georges Roualt. Garbo had two Roualt paintings in her collection. The proceeds from the sale of this item are being donated to benefit the San Francisco Zoo on behalf of Garbo's great-nephew.
