A deep violet silk crepon Thea Porter gown embroidered with gold floral clusters circa 1970. The gown has a high waistline, a plunging neckline, and dolman sleeves with cutouts. The neckline and skirt hem are trimmed with heavily embroidered floral gold and teal bands. A label reads "Thea Porter Couture." Size 10. Accompanied by two matching silk scarves. Taylor is pictured in an identical gown in a 1970s portrait as well as at a 1976 New York City event she attended with Jackie Kennedy Onassis.
