An ensemble worn by Eddie Murphy who plays James “Thunder” Early in Dreamgirls (DreamWorks, 2006). The custom-made outfit consists of a red with gold metallic weave single-breasted jacket, a white long-sleeve button-down shirt with small basket weave design and French cuff, and a pair of wool blend black slacks. An internal shirt label reads “DEC 05." Murphy wears this costume when he meets for the first time the Dreamettes: Deena, played by Beyonce Knowles; Effie, played by Jennifer Hudson; and Lorrell, played by Anika Rose.
