Acrylic paint, polymer clay, outdoor enamel on an Epiphone Casino hollow-body, laminated maple-top guitar with mahogany neck. Born in Orlando, Florida, on September 16, 1982, Charles Buchanan Jr. is the 7th generation of Buchanans from Orlando. As a child, he was constantly drawing Disney characters and any other cartoons he laid his eyes on. His talent came straight from his grandfather, Don Leach, who was a sign painter and writer. Charles has done a lot of work in the community, such as T-shirt design for water conservation in Longwood, Florida, that won 1st place, and numerous art shows ever since elementary school when his teachers noticed his talents. Charles sculpts, paints, draws, writes, and anything else he can get his hands into. After getting a kiln at age 14, he was the one to load the kiln in all his sculpting classes in high school. After starting a band called Vomit Pop, Charles has become friends with many local songwriters and all-around great artists. Constantly working on something and coming up with ideas, Charles is a true artist in every sense of the word and a true Orlando local. Categories:
