Elvis' personally annotated copy of "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran gifted to Dr. Nick. Endpaper reads, “All Marked Dr. Nick—Edna from E.P.” The book includes ten pages of notes personally written by Elvis. Dr. Nick said that Elvis was the most self-educated person he has known. He was a voracious reader. Elvis spent a lot of time studying world religion and enjoyed discussing his thoughts. Elvis underlined the passages in this book that spoke to his beliefs; he discussed the stories within many times with Dr. Nick and on one occasion gave this copy to George and his wife. Cover paper ripped due to age and wear. A copy of “Dr. Nick’s™ Memories of Elvis” DVD accompanies this lot.
