An Elvis Presley inscribed and gifted copy of the book The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran (New York: Knopf, 1976). Inscribed on the endpaper by Presley to his nurse from 1968 to1977, Letetia Henley Kirk, “To Tish/ My Personal Savior/ in the middle of the night.” Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Kirk, who states that this was one of Presley’s favorite books; they read it together many times.
