Five Scotch RB-5 five inch reel tapes of the Howard Smith complete interview with Jim Morrison from 1970, and three 7 1/2 inch Emerald Recording Tape master tapes. The interview took place in the Doors' LA offices. In it Morrison discusses the recording of the latest album, Morrison Hotel, his reaction to criticism, performing in different countries, and the surprising belief that he was Jewish in a previous life. Smith said of this interview: "...before I went there, I had a feeling that it was going to be a tough interview. I just kind of had a feeling Jim and I saw the world differently, and that getting him to reveal sensitive issues might be tricky, but after some sparring I got him to open up….” Accompanied by a CD recording of the interview.
