A white Elvis Presley concert scarf inscribed and signed by Elvis Presley. Inscription reads, "To the Sioux Indian Tribe/ Thank you for the Medallion/ of Life gift/ with great respect to all member [sic] of/ The Sioux Nation for/ this great honor/ Elvis Presley." Elvis was presented with the Medallion of Life on June 21, 1977, in Rapid City, South Dakota. According to tour promoter Tom Hulett, the scarf was inadvertently left behind in the green room. The scarf retains make-up stains from Presley, who, perhaps because of the taping of the concert by CBS, was wearing heavier than usual make-up on stage.
