A limited edition Louisville Slugger 180 bat signed and inscribed by 15 members of Major League Baseball's 3,000 hit club. Most members who signed the bat inscribed their hit totals on the bat; these are listed after the player's name if inscribed. The bat has been signed by Hank Aaron (3771), George Brett (3154), Lou Brock (3023), Rod Carew (3053), Al Kaline (3007), Willie Mays (3283), Paul Molitor, Eddie Murray (3255), Stan Musial (3630), Pete Rose (4256), Dave Winfield (3110), Carl Yastrzemski (3419), Robin Yount (3142), Wade Boggs (3010) and Tony Gwynn. All signatures are in blue marker. The bat is marked on the barrel “3000 HIT CLUB/ 50 of 72.” The bat was signed by all members on November 22-23, 1997, with the exception of Boggs and Gwynn, who signed the bat on November 24, 1999. All signatures were acquired in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
