A typed, signed letter marked “confidential” from William Hillman, dated November 16, 1937, to William Randolph Hearst. The letter recounts details from a meeting with the Duke and Duchess of Windsor. The letter reads in part, “I am afraid that in many respects they are a badly advised couple and only a series of shocks such as they have experienced recently, whether justified or not, will teach them to study with more care their plans.” Hillman at the time was Hearst Newspapers chief of staff, foreign correspondents. 11 by 8 1/2 inches Categories:
