"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" signed playbill from November 14, 1999 signed by Uta Hagen and Edward Albee. The performance was staged on Uta Hagen's 80th birthday, when she recreated her 1962 Broadway role as "Martha" in a stage reading with Mia Farrow. Also performing were Matthew Broderick and Jonathan Pryce. The reading was held at the Majestic Theatre. Farrow recalled the events surrounding this piece to a family member, who says, "Uta Hagen was reprising her famous role in "Who's Afraid of Virgina Wolf" for her 80th birthday, and the proceeds went to her acting studio. All Uta Hagen's fans were there. Mia played Honey. Before the performance, Uta told the cast that Edward Albee would be attending. Mia didn't go to the after party, but as she was leaving, Edward Albee saw her in the hallway and signed the playbill for her. Rumor was he didn't give much praise, so she considered this high praise indeed." 11 3/4 by 13 3/4 inches, framed PROVENANCE From the collection of Mia Farrow. Categories: MIA FARROW
