A stunt helmet worn by the character Super Dave Osborne portrayed by comedian Bob Einstein. The white helmet has one red center stripe with two blue stripes, yellow fabric stars adorning the top, and felt initials "SD" attached to each side. Stunt tubes are on the rear inside of the helmet with some scuffing and markings on the helmet from various stunt skits. Einstein can be seen with this helmet in several Super Dave appearances, most notably during his Showtime show The Super Dave Osborne Show that ran from 1987 through 1991. Together with white denim coveralls that have "Super Dave" embroidered on the back. The character of Super Dave is a naive but optimistic stuntman who was frequently injured when his stunts went spectacularly wrong. He made his first appearance on the 1972 TV series The John Byner Comedy Hour . Einstein then regularly played the character on the short-lived 1976 variety show Van Dyke and Company starring Dick Van Dyke. Einstein’s first significant exposure as a regular was on the Canadian 1980s series Bizarre . He was also a frequent guest on Late Night with David Letterman and The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson . His trademark look was a white jumpsuit and helmet or hat, with red, white and blue colors, yellow stars and stripes, somewhat reminiscent of the style worn by Evel Knievel. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Categories:
