American, Contemporary. Two sepia tone photographic images of South Carolina printed on metal, likely tin and mounted one above the other on painted black metal surface. Top image of a symmetrical building with a sloped rope with six Neoclassical styled windows surrounding a double door front with a minimal portico with columns supporting a triangular pediment. The lower image depicting Brice Groceries, Gas, Oil and showing the aged wooden building with flaking paint surfaces and unmaintained and wild landscape. Both views highlight only the architecture and do not feature people or signs of activity showing the sparse, lonely and tranquil essence of these buildings. Lower image with "Pomaria , SC" lower left and signed "D. KNOX" lower right. Overall height 60 inches x 48 inches. Each image approximately 24 inches x 36 inches.
