20th century. Pair of hand carved wood and gesso Roman centurion or officer's helmet wall sconces with weathered black painted finish on protective armor body. Each wall sconce with two thin curved brass metal arms terminating with floriform wax guards and faux candle electrified sockets. Arms likely later addition. Approximate height 27", width (across arms) 24".
