Probably of the Battle of Powick Bridge on September 9th, 1642. Signed illegibly lower right, the canvas has been stabilized and conserved a very long time ago. The original stretcher is walnut with old hand cut staple joints and early worm tracks. Modern gilt framed. Back of stretcher bears an old partial label from a Cairo-Damascus gallery. Measures approximately 17" high and 22" wide.
