Ruth Robertson oil on canvas "Picasso in the Daffodils"; signed and dated "Ruth Robertson 2008" to back; measures approximately 24" x 30". Ruth Robertson is well known in the Washington Metropolitan Area for her figurative works. Her sensuous interpretation of the figure has become a hallmark of her work. Although best known for her black and white photographs of nudes she is also well known for her mixed media works and paintings. Her work has received critical acclaim in the Mid-Atlantic region where it has been heavily exhibited, and is highly sought by collectors worldwide. Her work is also included in the permanent collections of four museums.
