Sherms, Inc. “Sholem the Token of Faith” with hidden compartment. American, ca. 1950. Pressing on the letter “S” on one side of the coin reveals a small compartment in which a photo or message can be hidden. Gilt bronze. 31mm. MT 298. These tokens were sold as good luck charms by Sherms, Inc., the magic manufacturing company based in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
