Chest Expansion Holdout. American, ca. 1920. A secret device worn on the card cheat’s body which is operated by expanding the operator’s chest by taking a deep breath. Machine is complete but in need of restringing; elastic straps replaced worn, and solder a broken at one connection; very good. This type of holdout is quite a bit rarer than a Kepplinger holdout.
