Probably Continental, first quarter 20th century. Renaissance Revival style stained walnut carved stool or tabouret, the rectangular padded and cream colored upholstered seat over a scroll and foliate carved apron having stipple ground and shell motif raised on cabriole legs carved at the knee with trailing foliage and united by a shaped carved stretcher, terminating on scrolled toes. 21.5", width 26.8", seat depth 16".
