Continental, probably French, 19th century. An impressive matched pair of gilt bronze and marble urn form table lamps, having leafy scrolling handles headed with grotesque masks enclosing richly relief decorated body representing Demeter goddess of Harvest to one side, to the reverse, Arion, playing his kithara and riding dolphins raised on a foliate enriched socle and marble base further mounted on a circular simulated marble base. Both with cream colored shades and double socket with pull chains. Approximate height 39.5", diameter of base 7.5".
