John Wiltson's Carved Powder Horn, America, dated 1748, decorated with house, hunting scene, animals and a large flower, inscribed "John Wiltson/August 10th/1748, carved spout and slightly convex pin base plug with brass hanging loop, lg. 13 in. Estimate $1,500-2,500 Horn has some cracking near the spout and general wear and light scratches as to be expected. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
