Charles Tattershall Dodd the Elder (British, 1815-1878) Entrance to the Churchyard of Hatfield Sussex. Signed and dated "C.T. Dodd/1842" l.r., titled and inscribed ".../C.T. Dodd/Mount Pleasant/Turnbridge Wells," presumably in the artist's hand, on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 21 1/2 x 17 1/2 in., framed. Condition: Scattered retouch, probably to cover old frame abrasion, fine craquelure, surface grime. Estimate $250-350 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
