Staffordshire Historical Blue Transfer-decorated "States" Jug, James and Ralph Clews, Cobridge, England, c. 1830, the central scene with tree-lined river and large building in the background with states names on the border of the jug, ht. 7 1/4 in. Provenance: William Kurau, December 2003. Estimate $600-800 There is an in the making crack in the inside of the handle, but no obvious chips or evidence of repair.
