Condition: Surface grime, minor pinprick accretions to tree in left foreground. N.B. In addition to his scenes of New England life, Abrams was also a prolific portrait artist who was commissioned by leading American political figures such as General Westmoreland, Ronald Reagan, President Bush, First Lady Barbara Bush, and Jimmy Carter. His portraits can be found in the Treasury Department, White House, National Portrait Gallery, West Point, and U.S. Capitol building.
