Charles Herbert Woodbury (American, 1864-1940) Mt. Monadnock Signed "Woodbury" l.l., stamped with the joint initials "C.H.W./(E.W.P.)" on the reverse. Oil on canvasboard, 8 x 10 in. (20.3 x 25.4 cm), framed. Condition: Good. N.B. The initials E.W.P. correspond to E.W. Perkins, an executor of the artist's estate. Estimate $800-1,200 Two very small accretions, one at u.c. edge and one at l.l. corner just above the signature, and some tiny scattered pinpoint-sized accretions to the sky that appear as tiny black dots. These all seem to be original to the painting and may have adhered to the wet surface. No additional condition issues to report. Framed dimensions are 13 7/8 x 15 3/4 x 1 1/4 inches.
