Baccarat for Schiaparelli "Le Roy Soleil" Gilt Glass Perfume, France, 1946, designed by Salvador Dali, the enameled and gilt textured body reminiscent of the sun reflected off the ocean, the base with Baccarat mark and "Made in France," the elaborate gilt sunburst and stopper with an abstract face in the center, all housed in a gilt-metal clamshell case inscribed "le Roy Soleil/Schiaparelli/Paris," opening to an ivory-colored silk interior with stand, ribbon, and sunburst paper label adhered to the ribbon, perfume ht. 6 1/2, wd. 6 in. Note: This perfume was released to celebrate the European Allied victory of World War II as well as the re-opening of Schiaparelli stores in France. Estimate $3,000-5,000 The case with areas of wear through the gilt. The perfume with gilt loss on the surface of the sun's face. Chip to the bottom of the stopper.
