Underhammer Target Rifle Attributed to David Hall Hilliard, Cornish, New Hampshire, c. 1830s-40s, .38 caliber, walnut stock with engraved German silver fittings and patch box, and a silver eagle on the left cheek, octagonal barrel with peep sight, small star patterns stamped on the breech, and marked "REMINGTON," barrel lg. 28, overall lg. 45 in. Provenance: The collection of Nick Chandler. Estimate $800-1,200 Stock has a few dings and nicks and a hairline crack on the wrist, and the lock functions properly. Overall in good condition.
