Chinese Cast Brass Automaton Shelf Clock, multi-tier cast brass case with floral theme, pineapples at each corner of both tiers and a central pineapple in the top urn, 4-in. enamel roman numeral dial with center seconds, time and quarter-string movement, lower movement powers the automaton feature, when operational the clock would become animated on the hour with each pineapple spinning on the upper tiers and music on eight bells playing in the base while spinning glass spirals gives a waterfall effect as small ducks swim by, ht. 33 in. Estimate $8,000-10,000 The clock is in need of restoration due to a shipping mishap. Many of the spiral glass pieces of the waterfall are out of the clock and a few are broken, It is unknown how much internal damage is present. The clock is purported to have 19th Century movements in a 20th century case. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
