Turner Black Basalt Bough Pot and Cover, England, late 18th century, pierced cover to a square shape with canted sides and widow heads at each corner, classical figures within oval cartouches to each side, impressed mark, ht. 7 3/8 in. Estimate $500-700 Inner rim of cover with some chipping. Two firing lines to the plinth and with a 1/2" chip at footrim corner. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
