1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery Veteran's Medal, c. late 19th century, two silver banners with a maroon ribbon, a suspended medal marked on the obverse "1ST C.V.H.A./1861-1865" with crossed cannon, marked on the reverse "HANOVER/COURTHOUSE/YORKTOWN/FAIR OAKS/FREDERICKSBURG/MALVERN HILL/PETERSBURG/GAINE'S MILL/RICHMOND," ht. 3 5/8 in. Provenance: The collection of Nicholas A. Penachio. Estimate $200-250 In very good condition with some light patination, pin on the reverse is a replacement.
