Baroque Black-painted, Carved, and Caned Daybed with Flame-stitch Cushion, (imperfections), ht. 37, lg. 68, dp. 20 1/2 in. Provenance: Reportedly deaccessioned by the New Hampshire Historical Society. Estimate $800-1,200 rear stiles are loose, the daybed exhibits significant insect damage throughout, recaned, seat reinforced with strips to the underside, one carved stretcher broken and not easily fixable, restorations to the medial stretchers, feet replaced, chips and nicks throughout.
