After Carlo Dolci (Italian, 1616-1686) Madonna of the Veil. Unsigned, with a label from Galleria Corsini and red wax seal on the reverse. Oil on canvas, 37 x 30 in., framed. Condition: Restored tears and abrasions, patch reinforcement, retouch, craquelure, surface grime. N.B. The original Dolci painting (c. 1630–1686) is in the collection of the Galleria Corsini in Rome. This copy is thought to be 19th century. Estimate $300-500 The design of the red wax seal is no longer distinct, but it does not resemble the crown and double "C" initials associated with the Corsini family.
