Lonnie Holley (American, b. 1950) Sandstone Sculpture, initialed "LH" on base, ht. 8 1/2, lg. 11 in. Note: Born in Birmingham, Alabama, self-taught artist and musician Lonnie Holley is most well-known for his sculptures made of found materials; however he began his career making sandstone sculptures. His work is in included in museum collections including the Smithsonian American Museum of Art, the High Museum, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
